car valeting in newhaven
By Harry Hill

I was recently made redundant from my job on a construction site. As I am sure you are aware, it was devastating for me. After all, lots of people are losing their jobs as the recession is hitting the country hard. I was so worried I would not be able to get another job and the stress was really getting to me as I have a family and, although my wife is in current employment, we do have two small children to support. I was looking through the local paper then a couple of weeks ago and saw a job advert for Car Valeting In Newhaven. I definitely thought I should give it a go and applied for the job Car Valeting In Newhaven. I went for my interview and got on really well with the man who interviewed me, who later transpired to be the overall boss. He gave me the job there and then and now I have been Car Valeting In Newhaven for the last two months. I am enjoying myself. The people I work with are great fun and we have even been for two nights out where we had a great time. I just feel incredibly grateful that I am now in secure employment after such a difficult few months.

The advertisement said machine for sale which led me to thinking `Why on earth would anyone advertise something so vague as to warrant hundreds of calls from people just curious to know what kind of machine for sale we were actually talking about here!` Typewriting machine, construction generator, printing equipment, woodturning lathe, textile weaving? Would it be enormous and need a low loader to transport it or would it fit in my pocket like most of our little machines do these days. We might call them mobile phones, digital cameras but I suppose they are still machinery of a sort. The machine for sale ad reminds me of all the newspaper ads full of errors and typographical mistakes, like `Sports car. One lady owner, regularly serviced. Been round the clock.` It`s like ads for companies who call themselves PGJ Ltd and even paint all their wagons to say so, even though no-one but them is likely to know what PGJ actually do for their keep in the world! I was reading Truss`s book, `Eats Shoots and Leaves` and realised I`m not alone in noticing all these anomalies. Perhaps Lynn and I just have too much time on our hands because I, for one, wasted an entire breakfast mulling the machine for sale ad, wondering if I should invest the price of a phone call on following it up just out of sheer curiosity. Well I can tell you that I did and what I discovered was that the ad should have read General Industrial Machinery For Sale because, it transpired, the ad was featuring a company who supply every conceivable type of machinery, both new and used and specialise in putting buyers and sellers in touch. So if I ever want a machine for sale at least now I can see what it is, what it costs and whether I actually need one!
